As a relatively new university student and a coastie who hasn't yet spent enough time in Sydney to make judgements on its various cafes and hang spots, I have decided
to focus on a student staple and a place I'm guaranteed to visit more than a few times in the coming years: the liqour store.
Specifically, Dan Murphy's here in Erina on the sunny (sometimes) central coast. In my year as an adult both I and my wallet have made the decision to frequent Dans as not only do they have the widest array of drinks containing the devils liquid but also offer the cheapest prices for all of them. It is simply hard to pass up 16 dollars or less for high quality 6 packs of beer and its practically a steal getting a 750mL bottle of vodka for 35 dollars on average.
As a new uni student, I just know that my decision to stick to Dan Murphys will save me a lot of money in the coming years, because I can guarantee most
of my small amount of income will end up being blown far too frequently on alcohol.
