Our Blog Storyboard

 Hi guys, 

To give you an idea of what our blog will look like, we've come up with a storyboard to illustrate our ideas! As you can see already, our blog background features a photo of Wally's Walk (taken by Devon) to really give you a taste of what our blog entails. Basically the topic of our blog is about Macquarie Student Life and being Macquarie students ourselves, we want to create a blog that describes places to visit and things to do that will improve students' experiences. This looks at everything from what students can do on and around Macquarie campus, student deals and activities, and much more. To illustrate how our blog will be set out, we've come up with a brief storyboard that reveals a rough layout of our blog.

Our layout features the blog posts on the left hand-side of the page with the text followed by the photo(s). On the right hand-side of the page, you will see the sidebar featuring the 'About Us', followed by an IMAGE gadget (to show who we are) and the 'Blog Archive'. Additionally at the bottom of our page, various other gadgets may be added in at a later date, such as videos, links to other pages, polls, etc.

The template for our blog at current is 'Simple' and allows viewers to easily acknowledge individual blog posts as well as easily navigate across the page. The colour scheme and font is easy on the eyes and makes the blog easy to read, follows along with the general idea we have for our blog topic and it is pleasant to view, with the use of cool colours and nice background imagery.

Additionally, the tags and gadgets we'll be using reflect what is relevant to our topic; such as #macquarie, #student, #lifestyle, #sydney, #university, #study, #studentexperience and things relevant to each post.
